Breakfast with Santa at the Manker Patten Tennis Center!

What a treat today was! I got to take pictures of Santa visiting with the children of the Manker Patten Tennis Center!  We had alot of fun.  Santa was gorgeous in his Old World suit.  Not the traditional red and white suit but a gorgeous wine and gold coat trimmed in fur (faux of course lol).  He had on a beret type hat and carried a most awesome staff that was created for him by a friend that was 12 pieces of lumber steamed and glued together and adorned with holly and metal stars.  It was beautiful as was he!  We had a wonderful time seeing all the children from tiny little babies to grown kids at heart!  Please check out some of the highlights and enjoy!!

More Pink!!!

Pink Country Celebration with Randy Owens to celebrate The Mary Ellen Locher Foundation’s 10th Anniversary

What a wonderful night!  The breast cancer survivorswere delivered to the Pink Carpet via a white limosine and then their pictures taken by the paparazzi (me)!!  They were presented a pink rose by NewChannel 9 Anchor Kim Chapman and some were even treated to having their photos taken with Bob Johnson!  On into the beautiful and historic Tivoli theatre they went to be whisked upstairs to a  pre-party with hors d’ oeuvres and beverages like the VIP’s that they are!  Then it was showtime!  The evening was one of great music, lots of stories and a few laughs from the wonderful Randy Owens and friends.  The evening was complete with great musical expertise from guitars, piano and drums but the piece de resistance was from violin/fiddle player Megan Mullins.  Wow!  Such incredible talent!  From the Songs of the South country music to a special treat of some awesome playing of Russian music she almost stole the show!  But Randy was a wonderful entertainer of music that most all of us in attendance grew up on.  He took us back to a kinder and gentler world about being rasied in high cotton and having angels among us (which was sung to the accompaniment of a wonderful slideshow of Mary Ellen and breast cancer survivors.

I for one,  thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the night and I am fairly sure all the guests of honor did too!  To all the volunteers of the Mary Ellen Locher Foundation, thank you for everything you do for the ongoing love, help and support that you offer every day!  I hope you all enjoy the pictures.  Be sure to click on the gallery “Pink” and view all the survivors as they walked the pink carpet!!
